In Nationalparks und ländlichen Gebieten in Japan kannst du in den Bereichen Natur-, Kultur- und Ökotourismus tätig sein. Zu deinen Aufgaben gehört es, in Besucherzentren und auf geführten Touren Besucher über die Natur und Kultur zu informieren sowie das Team in Management, Operations, Marketing, Tourismusentwicklung, Biologie und Umweltschutz zu unterstützen.

Da das Ökosystem der Meere massiv gefährdet ist, durch beispielsweise Überfischung oder riesige Mengen Müll im Meer, an den Stränden und Küsten, ist es dringend nötig, hier gegenzusteuern. Um bei den Menschen ein Bewusstsein zu schaffen für Meeres- und Umweltschutz, müssen Daten gesammelt werden und unter Zuhilfenahme der ermittelten Datensätze eine Aufklärung der Bevölkerung stattfinden.

Auf Sado Island im westlichen Japan kannst du zusammen mit japanischen und internationalen Volunteers zum Umweltschutz beitragen und tief in die traditionelle ländliche Kultur Japans eintauchen. Du wohnst in einem komfortablen Zelt im Garten eines historischen Tempels und nimmst an einem tägliches Aktivitätenprogramm teil.
