A 1 week hands-on educational experience for 16-17 year olds, which qualifies as a Gold DofE Residential. It’s based on the Greek island of Kefalonia, focussing on the conservation of sea turtles and coastal ecosystems.

The Marine and Coastal Conservation project researches and monitors the large seagrass meadows and sand dune systems that can be found around the beautiful island of Kefalonia in Greece.

Split, the second-largest city in Croatia, has a special Mediterranean influence that makes it particularly welcoming, comfortable, and warm, ideal for ecotourism in Europe. Participating in the marine conservation project in Split means getting involved in cleaning the seabed and fighting pollution to protect marine species through ecotourism in Europe.

Set in the foothills of the Carpathian Mountains in Transylvania, this sanctuary currently homes over 100 mistreated and abused bears. Rescued from cramped cages and tourist attractions, these bears can now enjoy freedom in the stunning sanctuary. Volunteers mainly help with food preparation and other ad hoc sanctuary tasks, watched over by the bears. Day trips for school groups are available.
