The veterinary internship in Ecuador allows students to validate their year by gaining hands-on experience with a local veterinarian at the center while contributing to the protection of regional animals. The program includes signing an agreement, professional supervision, evaluations, and a skills assessment.
Trainees, whether students or professionals, will be involved in veterinary care, biology, and species rehabilitation in their natural habitats. They will also participate in research activities related to veterinary medicine, biology, or environmental engineering, as well as work on reintroducing animals into their natural environment.
Within the veterinary internship, tasks are more scientific, and students participate in research activities across various fields. Trainees are expected to study topics related to animals such as veterinary medicine, biology, animal science, or environmental engineering. This internship provides professional experience with skilled and qualified mentors.
Students will attend theoretical courses in the morning and apply their knowledge in practical sessions in the afternoon. They will have the opportunity to study a wide variety of wildlife, including eagles, turtles, crocodiles, and ocelots, in a shelter that hosts around 600 animals per year. This provides valuable hands-on experience.
At the end of the internship, students will receive a certificate confirming their professional practice and validation of skills by their supervisor.
