Community Support and Education – Volunteering on the Pacific Coast of Ecuador

Join a dynamic community project on Ecuador’s stunning Pacific Coast, where every day brings new opportunities to make a concrete impact. This volunteer program supports children, seniors, and local families through education, food assistance, and community events.

Your main mission will take place at a local public school, where you’ll help teach basic English to children aged 6–14. No prior teaching experience is required—just enthusiasm, patience, and a desire to connect! Lessons typically last 1–2 hours per day, with no more than one other volunteer per classroom, ensuring an interactive and supportive environment. The school can host up to 6 volunteers at a time, assigned to different age groups.

Beyond the classroom, volunteers can also engage in diverse community activities based on current needs. These may include:

Meal distribution

Spending time with seniors

Supporting the local food bank

Helping organize seasonal festivals and events (Christmas, Halloween, etc.)

Assisting with logistics for sports days, art contests, or cultural performances

Volunteer hours generally run from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Monday to Friday. Afternoon help may occasionally be requested for special events.
