Nursing internship in Vietnam

This nursing internship in English takes place at a hospital in the Da Nang province. Observation, recording, and data analysis will be an essential part of this project, providing a hands-on experience.

The program is designed for medical students who wish to explore the Vietnamese healthcare system alongside local professionals.

Rehabilitation Centers

Physiotherapy students can join one of the two rehabilitation centers in Da Nang:

• School of Disabilities Rehabilitation Center
• Social Support Center

These centers currently treat 10 to 30 patients with various disabilities, including cerebral palsy, stroke, accident-related disabilities, or other conditions. Volunteers work alongside qualified local physiotherapists under full supervision, dedicating 18 to 20 hours per week, including about 5 hours for educational and social activities. Each center can host up to 6 volunteers per month.

Intern Schedule

Monday

During the first week, if you are enrolled in the Orientation Week, you will start with an introduction and cultural orientation, including a tour of local landmarks and Vietnamese language classes. Otherwise, a brief orientation is provided and the internship begins on Tuesday.

Tuesday to Friday

Each day starts with a full introduction to the hospital, an explanation of your role, and observation of local healthcare professionals. You may participate in:

• Basic first aid
• Measuring blood pressure
• Preparing medications
