Medical and nursing internship in Tanzania

Program Description:

The nursing internship in the Philippines provides hands-on experience while supporting understaffed and underfunded rural clinics near Tacloban. This project is designed for healthcare students and professionals who wish to gain field experience and contribute to the United Nations’ goal of healthcare access for all.

Roles and Tasks:

Volunteers participate in various tasks according to their qualifications:

• Conduct medical assessments of patients
• Obtain patients' medical records
• Administer vaccinations
• Assist in minor surgeries
• Help with medical supplies
• Transmit medical tests
• Attend prevention workshops and conduct home visits in surrounding areas

Initiative is a key quality required from volunteers to successfully integrate into the project. Beyond daily activities in the clinics, you may also provide support to other health-related projects, collect data for the Philippines Nutrition Project, or lead awareness workshops for community groups.
