Since January 2015, groups of nursing students have participated in humanitarian missions for their mandatory international internships. Role of Interns

Interns support healthcare staff in their daily tasks and assist during busy periods. International students’ contributions are valuable throughout the year.

Examples of tasks:

• Assist healthcare staff with daily duties
• Contribute to patient medical reports
• Participate in meal distribution
• Help implement dietary plans for patients

Hospitals have limited resources, and interns never work alone. All participants are supervised by a local healthcare professional at all times.
