Humanitarian Nursing Internship in Bali
Contribute to improving healthcare access for local communities during your humanitarian nursing internship in Bali. Open to medical and nursing students, this program allows you to validate your year while gaining hands-on experience.
The internship takes place in private medical clinics across Bali, including Ubud, Uluwatu, and Canggu.
Your tasks during the internship
You will assist local doctors and nurses in daily clinic operations, serving both tourists and local residents. Most staff speak English.
- Observe consultations and treatments by local healthcare professionals.
- Learn about clinic operations: triage, wound care, and blood pressure monitoring.
- Assist foreign patients who have communication difficulties.
- Support daily clinic activities.
- Occasionally accompany teams to rural areas for medical examinations and care.
All tasks are supervised by a professional on site and adapted to the program’s needs.

Schedule
The first Monday includes an orientation day to familiarize yourself with the local culture and environment:
- Welcome and internship overview.
- Document verification, rules, and code of conduct.
- Introduction to Balinese culture.
- Project presentation and task assignment.
From Tuesday to Friday, you will follow doctors and nurses across different departments, working around 5–6 hours per day, leaving time to explore Bali.
