Located on Ecuador’s Pacific coast, just 20 minutes from the vibrant town of Montañita, this program places qualified healthcare professionals in a small, resource-limited community clinic. Here, you’ll provide essential care to underserved populations while deepening your expertise in tropical and rural medicine.

Eligibility: Open exclusively to licensed doctors and nurses. Your work will focus on primary care, first aid, patient treatment, and general medical support under the supervision of local healthcare staff. Volunteers typically work in pairs or individually, ensuring direct engagement and hands-on impact.

Support & Requirements:

A local coordinator will guide your activities and provide daily assistance.

While clinic supervisors speak English, intermediate Spanish proficiency is required to interact effectively with patients. Volunteers needing language support can take a 2-week medical Spanish course prior to starting.
