Physiotherapy internship in Argentina

The physiotherapy internship takes place in a neurological rehabilitation clinic that works with an interdisciplinary team of professionals, including physiotherapists, speech therapists, psychologists, doctors, nutritionists, and more. They use high-tech techniques to ensure all patients receive the best possible treatment. The clinic is equipped with a neurological and therapeutic gym and utilizes laser therapy, iontophoresis, electrostimulation, among other methods.

The center has 30 beds to provide comprehensive care to inpatients and receives around 80 outpatients daily for various treatments.

As with all our nursing and medical internship programs abroad, this project in Argentina allows you to validate your academic year while gaining hands-on experience and contributing to the United Nations’ goal of access to healthcare for all.

How can I help as an intern?

Interns will assist the professionals working at the center with treatments and daily tasks.

This role includes:

• Implementing and monitoring patients’ treatment programs,
• Assessing their progress,
• Providing guidance to all involved parties,
• Performing manipulations alongside the paramedical team,
• Ordering therapeutic supplies and equipment.

You will need to improve your own clinical and organizational skills to meet the patients’ needs.

Physiotherapy interns work on average 7 hours per day, 5 days per week.

Remember to bring your work attire! A two-piece medical uniform is required. You can purchase one directly on-site before starting your internship.
